Wanted to protect the van a little bit over the winter so decided to try out a car cover from CoverCraft. This is a custom cover and I bought their WeatherShield HP version. The material is all-weather with a bunch of properties (you can go view them on Covercraft’s site: WeatherShield HP Custom Car Covers from Covercraft – Covercraft ) It is pretty light weight and I’m a little worried about it tearing on my roof rack but I guess we shall see. Fitment is excellent and you can tell its a custom fit. It doesn’t look like a generic cover that you seen so often. It even fits great with the solar panels, roof rack and a maxair fan. The pockets for the mirrors are larger than my mirrors but I suspect they are to accommodate the super wide mirrors some have equipped. The only small negative was that you should remove your antenna in order to properly fit the cover (you don’t have to as the kit comes with grommets for you to poke hole in the fabric and equip the grommets so you can slide it over the antenna.) The other bonus that would be nice to have would be a zipper to access the slider. Anywho here are some pics.
UPDATE: 3/21/2023 – Removed the cover today to get the van out of hibernation and I can report that it looks pretty good. I can honestly say I doubt it even got very wet at all as the cover repelled most of the water. I’m pretty happy with the results.
