After taking a few trips with our Transit converted van, we’ve come to find that making a bed gets “old” after a few days. Our conversion is equipped with a dining table/bench area that converts to a bed at night. The previous version was performed manually by removing a pole from mounts on both the bottom of the table and floor. The new version replaces these components with a Progressive Automations table/column lift Lifting Column Set – 225 lbs – Stroke 16.5″ – Progressive Automations – Progressive Automations Canada
Now with a press of the button (remote or wired remote), the table extends up and retracts down making the bed A LOT easier! The unit runs on 120VAC which I guess is the only downside in that it requires the powering-on of our inverter.
