Alright so I think I have some strange infatuation with trying to find the best means for external storage on this van! I think I’ve been through at least 3 or 4 different configurations using cargo boxes, hitch mount platforms, hitch mounted tote storage devices, etc. After now having mounted our custom rear door ladder from a cool company out of the U.K. (https://www.wheeliams.co.uk/), I noticed they also had a custom ladder cargo mounting system that fit their ladders. So yeah, I had to give it a try 😀
The system is pretty cool with laser cut brackets and fit together and clamp onto the rungs of the ladder:
I’m hoping to mount this super cool cargo box I found online from Valkyrie V2110 Overlanding Cargo Case – Valkyrie Products but I’m going to mount it vertically. I think it will be super functional while hopefully not looking totally dumb
